Leon offers a multitude of healthcare options for residents including family physicians, dentistry, mental health/behavioral services, chiropractic care and the county’s only hospital – a state of the art facility built in 2012.

Decatur County Hospital offers a wide array of services including cardiac rehab, emergency services, infusion therapy, laboratory services, inpatient services, internal medicine/primary care, radiology, rehabilitation services (physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and lymphedema), surgery, and more.

Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa (CHCSI), with clinic locations in both Leon and Lamoni, is a federally qualified health center that provides primary, preventive health care services to those living in southern Iowa and northern Missouri. CHCSI provides comprehensive medical, behavioral, and dental services, and offers a sliding fee program to assist those who qualify.
